More than 60 projects, 180 young innovators and one very busy panel of judges — here are the winners of this year's Science Fair.
Our Science Block was buzzing on Saturday 12 September as more than 180 students from Grades 4 to 10 presented over 60 projects at the Annual Science Fair 2026. Parents, guests and a panel of judges from COMSATS University and the Pakistan Science Foundation spent the morning discovering water filters, weather stations, line-following robots and even a solar-powered irrigation system.
And the winners are…
- Gold, senior category: "Smart Drip" solar irrigation by Hamza Ali, Zainab Tariq and Omer Farooq (Grade 10)
- Gold, middle category: "Clean Stream" low-cost water filtration by Grade 8, Iqbal House
- Gold, junior category: "Why do leaves change colour?" by Eman Kiani and Ali Shah (Grade 5)
- Best use of technology: the line-following rescue robot by our Robotics Club

Congratulations to every participant, and a huge thank-you to our science department, led by Ms. Fatima Khan, for months of mentoring. The winning senior team will now represent Silverpine at the regional STEM Olympiad in Islamabad next month.
