This interactive guide works best with JavaScript turned on. Here is the text version (12 flows, 64 steps).
1. Your teacher dashboard
- Your teaching day at a glance — After signing in you land on the Dashboard. The banner shows today's date and the academic session; Billboard and Search are always one click away.
- Quick actions — These tiles are shortcuts to the jobs teachers do every day: Mark attendance, Add homework, Enter marks, Start online class, Class billboard, My timetable, Messages and Apply leave.
- Your classes — My class lists the classes you are class teacher of — Playgroup A and Grade 5 A — with the boys/girls split, today's attendance and shortcuts to the class list and ID cards. Grade 5 A still says Attendance not marked yet, with a Mark attendance button.
- What needs your attention — My classes today shows every class you teach with its attendance — Pending or the % present — and a Mark / Edit button. Today's classes is your timetable for the day; a Cover badge marks a substitution. Further down: marks still to enter, new homework submissions, live online classes, your leave balance and the latest notices.
2. Mark daily attendance
- Open Mark attendance — Click Mark attendance in Quick actions. It is also in the menu under Attendance → Mark attendance and in the phone's bottom bar.
- Check the class and date — Your own class — Grade 5 A — opens for today. Use the date picker (or the ‹ button) to mark a missed day, or pick another class; classes already marked today show a ✓.
- Tap a name to mark absent — Everyone starts as Present. Tap a student's name to switch between present and absent — Fatima Rajput is now marked A (absent).
- Late, leave or half day — Use L for late, Lv for leave and H for half day. The speech-bubble button adds a remark that parents can see — here Came at 8:25, school van was late.
- Check the totals and save — The bar at the bottom keeps a live count — 11 present, 1 absent, 1 late. Click Save attendance.
- Saved — parents are alerted — A confirmation shows the totals and how many parent alerts were sent. Parents of absent students get an app notification, plus SMS / email / WhatsApp as configured. The class now shows ✓ in the class list.
3. QR code attendance
- Open the QR scanner — From Mark attendance click QR scanner (menu: Attendance → QR scanner).
- Scan student ID cards — Click Start camera and point it at the QR code on a student's ID card. On phones the rear camera is used and a beep confirms every scan; each scan marks the student present for today.
- No camera? Type the admission number — Type an admission number — SP-26-0138 for Fatima Rajput, who arrived after roll call — or use a USB barcode scanner, then press Mark present.
- Instant confirmation — The student's photo, name and class appear with the result — Fatima was changed from absent to present. Scanned today keeps a running list of check-ins.
4. Assign homework & grade submissions
- Open Add homework — Click Add homework in Quick actions (menu: Homework & Diary → Assign homework).
- Describe the homework — Choose the class and subject, tick every section that should get it, then add a clear title and instructions. You can attach a worksheet, PDF, image, audio or video (up to 10 MB).
- Deadline & marking — Pick the Due date, optional Marks (leave empty for feedback-only homework), whether late submissions are accepted and whether to notify students & parents.
- Assign it — Click Assign homework. It is created for each ticked section.
- Homework is live — The homework page opens. Students see it under Homework on the web and in the app, and parents get a notification. Submissions appear here as students hand in their work.
- Open submissions to review — Open any homework — for example from New submissions on your dashboard — to see who handed in, when (late work is flagged) and the work or photo they uploaded.
- Give marks and feedback — Enter marks out of the total, a short feedback note, and set the status to Graded — or Return for rework if the student should try again.
- Save grades — Click Save grades. Each student and their parents are notified that the homework was graded, with your feedback.
- Graded — The submission now shows as Graded. Students who have not handed in can be nudged with Remind at the top.
5. Write the daily diary
- Open the daily diary — Go to Homework & Diary → Daily diary. Pick the class and date — today's diary for Grade 5 A opens.
- Write what was taught — For each subject note the topic taught today and a homework / note for parents. Every subject teacher can fill in their own row.
- Add a note for the whole class — The general note goes to every parent of the class — ideal for reminders such as the PTM date or things to bring.
- Save the diary — Click Save diary. Parents and students read it under Daily diary in the portal and the mobile app.
- Diary saved — The confirmation appears and the diary is visible to parents straight away. Use ‹ › to look back at earlier days.
6. Enter exam marks
- Open Enter marks — Click Enter marks in Quick actions (menu: Examinations → Enter marks).
- Pick your marks sheet — Choose the exam at the top — Mid Term 2026 — and you see one card per subject and section you teach, with how many marks are entered. Open English · Grade 5 A.
- Type marks — Enter moves down — Type a mark and press Enter to jump to the next student (↑ ↓ move too). The grade appears instantly from the grade scale; tick Absent for anyone who missed the paper and add remarks if needed.
- Save marks — The counter shows how many marks are entered. Click Save marks — you can come back and finish the sheet later.
- Saved — results stay private — Marks are saved. Students and parents cannot see them until the principal or exam coordinator publishes the results.
7. Class billboard: posts & shout-outs
- Open your class billboard — Click Class billboard in Quick actions (or Billboard in the menu).
- A live wall for your class — The board shows the date and time, your class, the thought of the day and the Star of the week. Below: pinned posts, polls, homework due, birthdays, house points and the class wall. The chips at the top switch classes; School board shows school-wide posts.
- Create a post — Click New post.
- Write the post — Pick Text, Photo, Link or Poll, add a title and message, choose a colour and who should see it. You can pin it to the top or set a date to remove it.
- Post it — Click Post. Students and parents see it on the class board straight away — pinned posts also send them a notification.
- It's on the wall — The new post appears on the class wall, where students and parents can react with 👏 ❤️ 👍.
- Award a shout-out — Click Shout-out to recognise great work or kindness.
- Pick a student, badge and points — Choose the student, a badge (Star, Helper, Creative…), the points (1–10) and an optional message.
- Celebrate! — Click Award shout-out. The points go to the student's house and the class leaderboard, the shout-out appears on the wall and the parents get a proud notification.
8. Start an online class
- Open online classes — Click Start online class in Quick actions (menu: Online Classes).
- Live, upcoming and past classes — The tabs list your classes. A live class shows a countdown and a Start class button; each card shows the subject, class, time and platform.
- Start an instant class — Click Start instant class.
- Go live in seconds — Pick the class, give the lesson a title and choose the duration, then click Go live now. Every student and parent of the class is notified with a Join button.
- Or schedule for later — Use Schedule class to plan a lesson ahead — pick the date, time, platform (Jitsi, Zoom, Google Meet or BigBlueButton) and repeat weekly if needed.
- The live classroom — When you Start a live class the classroom opens full-screen with a countdown, Open in new tab and Leave. Attendance of students who join is recorded automatically.
9. Message a parent
- Open Messages — Click Messages in Quick actions (or in the menu).
- Start a new conversation — Your conversations are listed on the left. Click New message.
- Choose the student — On the Parents tab pick the student — the message goes to every parent of that student with a portal account.
- Write and send — Add a subject and your message, then click Send. Parents get a notification and can reply from the app.
- The conversation — The thread opens. Replies appear here automatically, and you get a notification when a parent answers.
10. Check your timetable
- Open My timetable — Click My timetable in Quick actions (menu: Timetable → My timetable).
- Cover duty alerts — If you are covering for an absent colleague, a notice at the top shows the period, class and subject.
- Your week — Each day lists your periods with class, subject and room. Today is marked with a dot; tap the day tabs on a phone.
- Print it — Click Print for a clean printable copy of your timetable.
11. Apply for leave
- Open Apply leave — Click Apply leave in Quick actions (menu: My HR → My leave).
- Fill in the request — Choose the leave type (your remaining balance is shown), the dates — a half-day option is available — and the reason. Attach a document if needed, e.g. a medical certificate.
- Send the request — Click Send request. HR and the principal are notified to approve it.
- Track the status — My requests shows each request as Pending, Approved or Rejected. You are notified when a decision is made, and you can cancel a pending request.
12. View your payslip
- Open My payslips — In the menu open My HR → My payslips. A chart shows your net pay month by month.
- Pick a month — Every approved payslip is listed with gross pay, deductions, net pay and when it was paid. Click View & print.
- Your payslip — The payslip shows attendance, earnings (basic + allowances), deductions (tax, absences, advances) and net pay. Use Print to print it or save it as PDF.
