1. Occupancy map

Hostel overview — Hostel → Overview: beds, boarders, free beds and last night's roll-call result at the top.
Rooms by floor — Each hostel shows its rooms floor by floor. Dots are beds: green rooms are empty, amber have a free bed, pink are full and grey are under maintenance.
Open a room — Click a room to see who sleeps in which bed, the room fee and amenities.

Open Allocate bed — Click Allocate bed (Hostel overview) or open Hostel → Allocations.
Find the student — Type the student's name or admission number. You are warned if the student is already a boarder or uses the school bus.
Hostel, room and bed — Choose the hostel and room, then tap a free bed. The monthly fee comes from the room and can be changed.
Allocate — Click Allocate bed. The hostel fee is added to the student's invoices and the parents are notified.
Allocated — The boarder appears in the list. Actions on any row lets you transfer a boarder to another bed or vacate the bed.

Edit the week's menu — Hostel → Mess menu: type breakfast, lunch and dinner for each day. Each cell saves as you go (Enter jumps to the next).
Preview — Preview shows the menu as boarders and parents see it in the portal.

Visitors in the hostel — Hostel → Visitors lists who is in the hostel now; Visit log keeps the history.
Check in a visitor — Pick the boarder, enter the visitor's name, relation, phone, CNIC and purpose. Registered guardians are recognised.
Check in — Click Check in visitor. If enabled, the boarder's parents are told about the visit. Check out records when the visitor leaves.

Open Roll call — Hostel → Roll call lists tonight's boarders for the selected hostel; the last seven nights are summarised on the right.
Mark each boarder — Everyone starts present — mark anyone absent, late or on leave and add a remark.
Save the roll call — Click Save roll call. Parents of absent boarders are alerted immediately.
Saved — Tonight's roll call is recorded and appears on the overview as last night's result.
