This interactive guide works best with JavaScript turned on. Here is the text version (6 flows, 19 steps).
1. Sign in
- Open SchoolPilot — Open your school's SchoolPilot address in any browser — for example school.eblog.us. The sign-in page appears.
- Enter your details — Type your email, username or phone number and your password (the eye icon shows what you typed). Tick Keep me signed in on your own device.
- Forgot your password? — Forgot password? sends a reset link to your email. The office can also reset it for you.
- Signed in — Click Sign in. You land on your own dashboard — every role sees only the menus and data meant for them.
2. Install the mobile app
- Open SchoolPilot on your phone — Open the school's address in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone) and sign in. Everything is sized for the phone, with a bottom bar for the main sections.
- Install it — Tap your avatar (top right) → Install mobile app. On Android Chrome this installs straight away (or use the menu ⋮ → Install app). On iPhone tap Share → Add to Home Screen.
- Turn on notifications — In the same menu tap Enable notifications so absences, fee reminders, results and messages reach you instantly — even when the app is closed.
- The full menu — Tap Menu in the bottom bar to reach every section.
3. Urdu & dark mode
- Open the language menu — Click the language icon in the top bar. The languages offered are chosen by the school in Settings.
- اردو — Urdu, right to left — Choose اردو (Urdu). The whole interface switches to Urdu with a right-to-left layout and Nastaliq font — the menu moves to the right. Your choice is saved to your account.
- Dark mode — Click the moon icon for dark mode — easier on the eyes at night. Click it again (sun) to go back.
- Dark mode on — The whole app — menus, cards, tables and charts — switches to the dark theme. The choice is saved to your account; printouts always stay light.
4. Notifications
- The bell — The red number on the bell shows unread notifications. Click it for the latest.
- All notifications — View all opens the full list. Click a notification to jump to the right page; Mark all read clears the badge.
5. Quick search (Ctrl K)
- Open quick search — Press Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac) or / anywhere — or click the search box at the top.
- Type a few letters — Results appear as you type: students, staff, parents and pages. Use ↑ ↓ and Enter to open one, Esc to close.
6. Your profile & password
- Open My profile — Click your avatar (top right) → My profile.
- Photo and contact details — Upload a photo and keep your name, email and phone up to date — they are used for notifications and password resets.
- Change your password — Enter your current password and a new one (at least 8 characters), then save. Choose something only you know.
